Leanne is currently a Master’s level MA in counselling psychology practicum student, who is qualified to practice under the clinical supervision of an approved practicum supervisor.
Leanne has recently finished her coursework as a masters level counselling student and is now completing her final educational requirements, as an intern counsellor. Trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) through the IFS Institute and recently starting a path to become a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, Leanne brings a safe and nurturing space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported as they navigate life’s challenges. Leanne brings a holistic, integrated approach where all parts of oneself and all emotional experiences are welcomed.
Integrating Internal Family Systems and Somatic Experiencing into her practice, she is deeply passionate about supporting adults in navigating the intricate landscape of relationships, anxiety, depression, grief, loss, and parenting. She also has a deep interest in guiding individuals through the challenges and dynamics of co-parenting, having walked this path herself. The use of Internal Family Systems Therapy, can allow a process of uncovering and navigating the various internal “parts” of the self, allowing clients to gain insight into their patterns of behaviour and develop strategies for fostering internal healing, acceptance and more peace amid life's complexities. She also supports clients in processing and releasing stored trauma through an integration of somatic techniques, such as breathwork and body awareness, aiming to help clients cultivate resilience, regulate their nervous systems, and restore balance in their lives.
